Guardian Mortgage’s Executive Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer Marcus McCue is an innovative and results-driven leader who has propelled the company to nine-fold growth in retail home loan origination since 2008. A familiar and dynamic force in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Marcus was awarded the Best Mortgage Professional Award for 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 from D Magazine, one of the area’s most widely read publications.
Marcus began his career as an individual home loan originator at Guardian, where he quickly became the company’s leading producer. Rather than keep the secrets of his success to himself, Marcus shared his knowledge and helped multiply the company’s successes. To date, Guardian is over 20,000 customers strong with a delinquency rate of approximately 1 percent.
Marcus attributes the company’s rapid growth, at a time when other home mortgage lenders have struggled, to its unswerving dedication to customer service. Since it was founded in 1965, Guardian has focused exclusively on residential home loans. Guardian is ranked A+ by the Better Business Bureau and is the proud recipient of the prestigious LendRIGHT® seal of excellence.
Prior to joining Guardian Mortgage, Marcus served as vice president of commercial banking for a Dallas bank and as an Internet dot-com business executive. Brought up in a small Nebraska town, he came to Dallas in 1997 where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Southern Methodist University. When not making customers happy, Marcus enjoys spending time with his four children and watching Nebraska Cornhuskers football.
