George Makoutz started his lending career in 1987 after deciding to learn all he could about real estate. When he considered various aspects of the business, he realized that by going into finance he could help more people achieve their goals of owning a home or investment property than in any other capacity. It’s been over 30 years now, and since that time George has worked in a multitude of roles. He’s been an originator, regional manager, processor, and worked in underwriting review as well as in fraud detection and pre-audit scrubs. George even served as a consultant for FNMA in condo conversions and condo approvals. He’s owned his own nationally licensed mortgage company and has years of experience managing sales teams.
George says, “I love working here because of the kind and welcoming people. We go out of our way to serve clients and help each other out. I’ve worked for several companies but Guardian Mortgage truly cares about their customers and employees.” George’s desire to help others achieve their goals comes from a simple philosophy: to play fair, live a balanced life, and to treat others as you would like to be treated. When not working, George enjoys spending time with his family, working on his farm, riding motorcycles, traveling, reading, dreaming, and just experiencing all the amazing things life has to offer.
