Michael Bertling believes in the value of personal attention and has been helping his customers start the loan process face-to-face for over 33 years. Yes, you read that right! Michael says that when he began taking applications and answering questions in-person, it was because there were no fax machines and no email. But, as technology evolved and a live meeting was no longer a necessity, Michael found that continuing to meet with his clients to go over the process was actually a real benefit.
He says, “I still believe that meeting face-to-face is the best way for people to be comfortable with refinancing or purchasing a home. It can be overwhelming, especially if it’s their first home. Many people still want to be able to look their loan originator in the eyes when giving them their most personal information. Technology is great, but it will never be able to replace human interaction.”
Michael lives his life with a passion for helping others and it shows in his outside interests. Over the years he has been a certified youth minister, a golf pro, and a professional dance instructor. It’s evident that explaining processes with patience and a great attitude come naturally to him.
