The Stout Team

The father-daughter team of David and Whitley Stout have a mission: To get borrowers the right residential mortgage while providing the highest achievable levels of customer service. David Stout joined Guardian Mortgage’s Arlington, Texas office in 1996 and has been a major contributor to the company’s outstanding reputation in the community. A native of New York, he graduated from Cornell University in 1974. In 1982 he began originating loans and since then has helped over 3,200 borrowers purchase or refinance their dream home. Although these numbers are impressive, David is most proud that he has maintained an amazing 99% customer satisfaction rate while helping so many people achieve their financing goals.

Whitley Stout began her career with Guardian Mortgage as a summer intern for several years before graduating from the University of Tulsa with degrees in Management and Psychology. She brings knowledge, drive, and a passion for client education to the team. Her background in loan administration helps her guide clients through choosing a mortgage that’s not just right for the moment, but for the future too. She says, “I love being able to help customers figure out their home financing goals. Many people have a dream to purchase a home or increase their wealth through property ownership, and I can help them get there.”

The Stout Team’s customers benefit from David and Whitley’s combined experience and their determination to ensure borrowers are satisfied, no matter how complex or simple the loan. One of Whitley’s favorite quotes is, "Every champion was once a contender that refused to give up." She says, “I like this quote because it reflects that the mortgage process —like life—is not only about the end. It’s also about the journey. Working beside my father has always been a dream of mine and I’m thrilled to be part of such a great team.”

  • First Time Home Buyer
As first time home buyers my wife and I knew basically nothing about the process, but David took the time to answer any and all questions and concerns we had, and explained everything very well.
